Saudi club Al Ahli Wants to Sign Riyad Mahrez from Manchester City
According to the latest reports, Saudi club Al Ahli is willing to submit an offer to Manchester City to sign attacking player Riyad Mahrez for a 100 million euro contract. A delegation, including club president Waleed Muaath, has arrived in London to discuss a deal for a number of players, including Mahrez.
The 32-year-old striker from Algeria currently has two years left on his deal with the Premier League champions, but has been frustrated by the lack of playing opportunities this season. He has made 22 starts in the Premier League this season, while sitting on the bench for most of the Champions League matches. Therefore Al Ahli wants to bring Mahrez to Saudi Professional League and the player himself is open to a transfer deal, just need to wait for the club's approval. All the details are likely to be settled after Sunday's Champions League final against Inter Milan.
Last week Al Ittihad completed the signing of Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, who will play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo in the league next season. According to reports, another French player of merit, N'Golo Kante, is also coming to the Middle East to play.
