Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester City run rule over Daniel Svensson

Arsenal, Aston Villa and Manchester City are closely monitoring the progress of Liverpool target Daniel Svensson.
Liverpool are not the only club that are interested in Daniel Svensson’s services. According to a report from TBR, the Merseyside club’s rivals Arsenal, Aston Villa and Manchester City are all scouting the Nordsjaelland star.

Svensson came up the ranks at Brommapojkarna before making the move to Denmark in the summer of 2020. He started with Nordsjaelland’s Under-19 team but just six months down the line he got promoted to their first team.

He has already featured in 146 matches for their first team and has even contributed towards 28 goals. He had an exceptional 2023/24 season where he contributed towards 16 goals (4 goals, 12 assists) in his 48 outings. While the majority of his appearances came in the centre of the park, he is capable enough to feature as a full-back, a centre-back and even as a defensive midfielder.

Liverpool have been monitoring Svensson for a while
Svensson has started the majority of his matches as a left-back in the 2024/25 season. His performances as a left-sided full-back and his versatility have put him on the radar of multiple top clubs. Liverpool are one of the clubs that have been scouting the Swedish sensational for a while now.

The Reds see him as an ideal long-term replacement for Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas. His ability to feature in the centre of the park is a bonus. They feel he could be a great addition to Arne Slot’s team.

Svensson has already confirmed Liverpool’s interest in him while speaking on Fotboll Skanalen.

Villa, Arsenal & City are all keen on Svensson
But, the Reds are not the only club that are keen on his signature as he was on Aston Villa’s radar during the summer and they could return for his signature. With Lucas Digne’s future uncertain, he could be an ideal replacement. Unai Emery loves to work with versatile players and he would be delighted to have Svensson in his team.

Arsenal and Manchester City have also been scouting the 22-year-old utility man during the ongoing campaign. Both Premier League giants are always on the lookout for players who can add more value to their team and they feel Svensson could be a great signing for them in the long run.
