Erik ten Hag has communicated with Manchester United's senior management and believes his position is temporarily safe

According to ESPN, Erik ten Hag has communicated with Manchester United's senior management and believes his position as head coach is currently safe.

The report states that the future of Ten Hag as Manchester United manager remains uncertain, although the Dutchman believes he still has the trust of the club’s leadership heading into the international break. United will hold a senior management meeting this week, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe expected to attend the meeting in London on Tuesday, along with other United executives.

Concerns have been raised over United's performances and results this season. Ten Hag's future will be discussed by Ratcliffe and his team on Tuesday. Sources reveal that after the match at Villa Park, Ten Hag communicated with United's management and received no indication that his position was under immediate threat, leading him to believe he is currently secure.

The 54-year-old Dutch coach has now gone on holiday, giving a break to first-team players who are not involved in international duties over the next two weeks. Before the senior meeting in London on Tuesday, Ratcliffe and Joel Glazer had a meeting at Old Trafford on Monday.
